About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of building systems and facilities. This role ensures a safe, clean, and efficient working environment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting facility-related projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills for work order systems and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks required for building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical equipment.
  • Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and small projects as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and local codes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
  • Support general building upkeep including minor carpentry, painting, and cleaning tasks.
