The Facility Technician assembles machinery to enhance manufacturing operations and reliability. This role collaborates with Production and Engineering to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement machine improvements. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is part of the Maintenance Team located in Timonium, MD and will be an on-site role. The expected work hours are: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Assemble precision components, machine prototype parts, and use engineering software to support equipment maintenance and improvements. You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues and transition new equipment. Responsibilities include developing and testing prototypes, maintaining accurate logs, ensuring a safe, organized workspace, and providing ongoing technical support. A solid understanding of mechanical operations is vital.

Requirements

  • Essential requirements include a high school diploma (engineering degree preferred)
  • Five years of experience in an industrial manufacturing engineering or production role
  • Candidates must be willing to work scheduled hours, including overtime and holidays
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic PC skills with ability to read and create technical drawings
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently and stand at machines for entire shift including reaching, bending, squatting and kneeling

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with injection molding, part design, and melt-blowing processes is a plus
  • R&D/product development, scripting languages (Lua or Python), machining metals and polymers, 3D printing, and precision machinery assembly is highly desirable.
