About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Technician to support building operations and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring facility systems operate efficiently through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and proactive issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 6–12 months of experience in facilities or building maintenance
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with work order systems and basic computer applications
  • Physically capable of working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns
  • Complete basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs (e.g., filters, lighting, minor leaks, adjustments)
  • Monitor building automation systems and report any irregularities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine facility issues; escalate complex problems as needed
  • Support operational continuity across departments
  • Participate in emergency response procedures and on-call rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms and maintenance areas
  • Perform light carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
  • Assist vendors and contractors during service visits
  • Document inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs in work order systems
  • Track parts usage and job completion timelines
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of tools and supplies
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and facility performance
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and vendors
  • Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
