About The Position

Sartorius has an onsite position available for a Facilities Technician at our Marlborough, MA site. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of the facility's infrastructure and equipment. This role involves supporting various aspects of the facility's operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment. You will work closely with the Facilities team to address any issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks. What you will accomplish together with us: Maintenance and Repairs: Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure. Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner. Preventive Maintenance: Participate in the implementation of the preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently and to prevent breakdowns. Document and track maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Facility Support: Assist in setting up and maintaining laboratory spaces, office areas, and common areas. Support the installation and relocation of equipment and furniture as needed. Support multiple Sartorius facilities in Marlborough, MA area. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Vendor Coordination: Assist in coordinating with external vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services. Monitor the quality of work performed by vendors and report any issues to the Facilities Manager. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports. Report any facility issues or concerns to the Facilities Manager promptly. Team Leadership and Training: Provide guidance and training to junior facilities technicians and support staff. Assist the Facilities Manager in planning and coordinating facility projects and initiatives. What Will Convince Us: High School Diploma/GED; additional technical training or certifications preferred. 1+ year(s) of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Able to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed. Familiarity with GMP, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements is a plus. Metrology experience is a plus This position may require working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts. The role involves physical activity, such as standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects.
