About The Position

As a Facilities Technician at TVS, you're not just maintaining buildings. You're the reason a science lab is ready for an exciting experiment, an athletic facility can welcome student-athletes, and a theater space is ready to inspire creativity. Your work directly shapes how students learn, ensures teachers can teach, and impacts the way families and guests experience Trinity Valley School. This role is for someone who takes pride in getting things right, who finds satisfaction in solving problems before they become disruptions, and who understands that a well-maintained space is foundational to learning. You'll work alongside a dedicated Facilities team under the direction of our Director of Facilities, tackling everything from routine maintenance to event setup, always with an eye toward keeping our community safe, comfortable, and ready for what's next.

Requirements

  • Responsible and reliable
  • Technical proficiency and practical, hands-on skill to maintain building systems
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Experience with maintenance work, ideally including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Approach each task with both urgency and precision
  • Strong communicator
  • Work well under pressure and can handle emergencies with a calm, problem-solving mindset
  • Physically capable-able to lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance when needed), spend long periods on your feet, and move throughout campus as your work requires
  • Hold a valid Texas Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Respond to work orders with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and repairs across our campus
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and building systems
  • Communicate clearly with your team and recommend the right solutions
  • Ensure that fire, safety, health, and environmental regulations are consistently maintained
  • Keep maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools in excellent condition
  • Be part of the team that sets up and breaks down spaces for events
  • Attend departmental meetings and training sessions
  • Adapt to changing needs and occasionally adjust your schedule
