About The Position

The Facilities Technician supports Cornerstone Brands (Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Grandin Road, Garnet Hill), and is an essential part of keeping Cornerstone Brands running smoothly and safely. In this hands-on position, you'll handle diverse building and grounds maintenance tasks, ensuring our facilities operate at their best. Your expertise will directly contribute to our operational success while maintaining the highest safety standards. You will report to the Facilities Supervisor. This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Monroe or West Chester fulfillment centers daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of hands-on experience in facilities, maintenance, or related areas.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet company requirements to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and practical repair skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; walking, climbing, kneeling, and squatting as needed.
  • Mobility to access all areas of the building, including roof and heights up to 72 feet (some access will require the use of ladders).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends to ensure coverage for facility operations.
  • Team player willing to work in other areas of the operation as needed.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in environments with wide variations in temperature and weather conditions (including snow removal).

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic building-related services/repairs including painting, carpentry, drywall repair, plumbing, lamp replacement, and minor mechanical repairs.
  • Assist maintenance technicians as needed, repairing conveyors and other equipment.
  • Assemble or disassemble racking, shelving, workstations, and systems furniture.
  • Transform spaces for events and meetings, optimizing room arrangements to support diverse activities.
  • Perform grounds keeping responsibilities and maintain outdoor areas, including trash removal and snow removal.
  • Help and support for Mail Room operations.
  • Partner with visiting contractors to facilitate smooth project completion.
  • Become certified on all forms of Powered Industrial Trucks and lifts used.
  • Provide backup support to housekeeping operations.
