We're Hiring: Facilities Technician Location: Cherry Hill, NJ Employment Type: Onsite Department: Facilities The current hiring range for this position is: $20.00-$29.90 per hour Are you looking for a new challenge using your skills to make a real impact? Here, you’ll be supporting a workforce of 3,000 employees and 2,000 individuals in our care across 200+ facilities and homes in NJ and DE. The Facilities Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facilities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support programs and individuals served.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in facilities and equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and construction operations
  • Successful completion of certified training in skilled and specialized trades preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of one or more building skilled trades, methods, and techniques required, with the ability to safely and properly operate various hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to building maintenance and repair required
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, external contractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Effective organization, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions
  • Minimum 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain the facilities.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of facilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks which includes the repair, replacement or installation of faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, and toilets.
  • Paint or repair windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Willingly and effectively cooperated with Bancroft, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
  • Operate and drive company work vehicles from house to work location to transport equipment and materials.
  • Maintain an established schedule.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Carry out scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance tasks using proven methods.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Follow all safety policies in the Bancroft safety program and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
