About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Facilities Technician to support facility operations by performing routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs across building systems and infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 6–12 months of experience in building or facilities maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general repair)
  • Working knowledge of basic building systems and preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable using work order systems and basic computer applications
  • Physically capable of working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, confined spaces, and fast-paced environments
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Education: High school diploma preferred
  • Required Certifications: OSHA 10
  • CPR

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and lockout/tagout requirements
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, leadership, and external vendors
  • Promote a culture of safety, integrity, reliability, and continuous improvement
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical equipment, and other building systems as assigned
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns
  • Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs (e.g., filter changes, minor leaks, lighting replacements, equipment adjustments)
  • Assist with monitoring building automation systems and report alarms or anomalies
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders to minimize operational disruptions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine facility issues; escalate complex problems to leadership or third-party vendors as needed
  • Participate in emergency response procedures and after-hours on-call rotation, as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and storage spaces
  • Perform general facility upkeep, including minor carpentry, painting, door and hardware repairs, and light building maintenance
  • Assist contractors and vendors during service calls by providing access, information, and on-site support
  • Accurately document inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs in the work order system
  • Track parts used, completion times, and report inventory needs
  • Provide recommendations to improve maintenance processes, safety practices, and facility performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
