About The Position

Eventide Care Center in south Moorhead, MN is seeking a Facilities Technician to work full time, 7a-330p or 8a-430p, Monday - Friday. This position includes on-call rotation. The Facilities Technician assists with the general repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the Eventide facilities, equipment, vehicles, and its grounds under the direction of the Director of Facilities. Essential Functions Responsible for all facets of building/grounds maintenance and the preservation of Eventide’s assets. Includes but not limited to all the daily activities necessary to maintain Eventide’s assets such as grounds work, snow removal, equipment repairs and service calls, minor and major repairs to fixed and moveable physical plant equipment and other duties as assigned. Monitors and maintains Direct Digital Control systems to ensure efficient operations of Eventide Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment. Safely utilizes and operates specialized tools and equipment pertaining to, but not limited to, boilers, electrical, and plumbing. Responsible for operations of vehicles such as lawn care/snow removal equipment, and other vehicles included in the Eventide facilities fleet. Utilizes the CMMS software work order system to check job assignments during each shift, making comments and labor adjustments in the system as needed. Must also be able to use Eventide time clock software to properly manage and relate CMMS assignment to specific Eventide job sites. Reports all complete and problem jobs to Facilities Director. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on Eventide assets as assigned and documents changes accordingly. Will rotate weekend and weekly on-call responsibilities. Must be available for occasional morning, evening or weekend support during Eventide scheduled events and emergency situations. Performs grounds keeping duties to maintain a desirable appearance on the campus. This includes, but is not limited to: lawn maintenance, trimming/pruning bushes, edging sidewalks, removal of weeds, and removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots. Completes the make-ready process of vacant apartments and skilled care rooms for new residents as assigned. Maintains and tracks inventory controls to achieve cost effective operations. Assists in the monitoring of all projects being performed by external contractors and reports information as needed to the Facilities Director. Coordinates and completes special projects as assigned by Facilities Director. Responsible for alerting Facilities Director of any unusual occurrences or damage which may occur or already has occurred to Eventide property.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Requires knowledge and/or willingness to learn in the following areas: o HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, painting, vehicle and small engine upkeep and repair, yard care, snow removal, and basic maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under corporate insurance policy is required.
