About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the Bank’s facilities to ensure they are safe, clean and professional looking. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance as well as small-scale repair to the Bank’s buildings and equipment. The incumbent will also be responsible for various courier functions.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience in facility operations and building maintenance preferred.
  • Strong mechanical background including skills in carpentry, electrical repair, boiler, and safety preventive maintenance, including ability to use standard hand and power tools.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of bank management and staff.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, the use of a serviceable automobile that is properly registered and proper liability insurance as required by state law.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in priorities quickly.
  • Able to work harmoniously, professionally, cordially and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.

  • Ability to read/see documents and computer screens, to communicate in person and via the telephone and use a computer and other office equipment.
  • Dependable and punctual, adhering to attendance standards and demonstrating accountability in all actions.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality work during times of increased volume, demonstrating resilience and a strong work ethic.
  • Complies with federal and state banking regulations, as well as with all bank and department policies and procedures.
  • Serves on various committees as assigned.
  • Able to travel to all bank locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional, courteous and efficient service to all internal and external customers, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to high standards of integrity and service excellence.

  • Cleans and maintains the Bank’s facilities; conducts small-scale repairs and general maintenance activities including, but not limited to: repairing locks, changing lighting, repairing furniture, files, and moving office equipment.
  • Installs or helps to install, various types of equipment, structures, and Modular Office Products, etc.
  • Responsible for office relocation, set-up and cleaning up of work areas.
  • Receives and responds to daily Facility “Help Desk” requests.
  • Responsible for grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing, raking, sweeping, shoveling snow, and upkeep of shrubbery and all other plant life at all locations.
  • Responsible for office supply distribution and organizing inventory.
  • Minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Responds to Facility related emergencies, both during day shift and off-shift, weekends or holidays.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance tasks for various systems.
  • Serves as interoffice courier, picking up and delivering office and maintenance supplies, as necessary.
  • Responsible for processing internal and external mail and accepting deliveries as needed.
  • Drives and operates company vehicle to and from various SBSI locations.
  • Assist with set up, take down, and possible supply runs for any functions in conference rooms at the Operations Center.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties or special assignments as required, always aligning with the Bank’s values of integrity, service, and collaboration.
  • Attends all required meetings and training, maintaining a commitment to personal and professional growth in alignment with the Bank’s values.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties or special assignments as required or assigned.
  • Serve on various committees as assigned, actively contributing to the improvement of branch operations and customer satisfaction.
