JOB DESCRIPTION: MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Working under limited supervision, maintains facilities to minimize breakdowns (particularly for production). Performs all duties required to test, calibrate, adjust, repair, and maintain mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Diagnoses, disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of complex equipment. Installs and maintains a broad range of equipment as well as electrical, gas, air and water systems. Performs facility maintenance on a preventive or emergency basis as required with a particular focus to maintain all work areas of the facility in a safe condition.

Responsibilities

  • Performs skilled maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance on all equipment, by cleaning, adjusting, repairing, calibrating and replacing parts.
  • Responsible for repairs to buildings including, but not limited to, repairs to walls, ceilings, doors, painting, etc.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Implement methods, practices, and techniques of maintaining building and facilities to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts.
  • Conducts periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair.
  • Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence. Identifies and resolve maintenance issues; escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
