Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its Saline, MI team! We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our production facility and ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment for all employees. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and general upkeep of building systems, grounds, and equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or repair role.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical repair, and custodial practices.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and grounds/yard equipment.
  • Dependable, self‑motivated, flexible with work hours, and able to communicate clearly; valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds routinely, with assistance for heavier items. Frequent use of tools and equipment requiring manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination. Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or platforms. Repetitive physical tasks performed throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, lighting, fixture adjustments, and surface repairs.
  • Complete routine facility tasks such as assembling or moving furniture, hanging fixtures or shelves, replacing bulbs, and supporting custodial needs including cleaning and floor care.
  • Maintain facility appearance by overseeing third‑party custodial performance, performing grounds maintenance, and operating seasonal equipment such as snow‑removal tools.
  • Manage supplies and equipment by organizing inventory, transporting materials, maintaining logs, and coordinating vendors for non-routine repairs.
  • Support operations by maintaining the company truck, reporting repair needs, and performing customer deliveries when required.
