You would be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and optimization of the facility’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as office and cubicle furniture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand, walk, and climb for extended time periods
  • Able to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and reaching
  • Basic computer competence including Microsoft Office, building management systems, security monitoring systems, and work order programs
  • Ability to operate site equipment including hand and power tools
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical degree, associate’s degree
  • Experience with Tracer Summit BAS
  • 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic working in an Industrial/manufacturing environment with hands on experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate via VM, E-mail, handwritten notes, and text messaging
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in an unsupervised work schedule
  • Boiler and/or refrigeration licensing
  • Ability to set up working documents and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Supports facilities/office staff by performing “handyman” maintenance duties such as furniture moves & repairs, simple electrical projects, spot painting, light construction, and/or exterior cleanup
  • Perform other activities such as waste paper/cardboard recycling, stocking of employee break areas, and conference room set-ups/teardowns
  • Assist Senior Facilities Technician in working from drawings and/or specifications to complete plant, office, or project redesigns
  • Will routinely perform PM tasks on HVAC equipment, commercial kitchen equipment, and domestic water systems
  • Provide support to vendors/contractors in the absence of Senior Facilities Technician
  • Support the Facilities Department’s organization of items relating to building and equipment maintenance, including common fasteners, hose, wire, spare parts for machinery and other supplies
  • Maintain automatic sprinkler system, to include Spring startup, winterizing, programming and adjustment and repair of sprinkler heads
  • Maintain walks, private drive, parking lot and loading docks, to include sweeping and remove snow from walks and loading docks, halt vegetation growth around curbs and walks, etc.
  • Maintain all equipment assigned, including engine and chassis maintenance, repair of lawn care and snow removal equipment, regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, and organize storage and cleaning of hand tools
  • Support the Facilities Department’s organization of items related to grounds keeping duties, including gasoline, oil, fertilizer, ice melt, and spare parts such as spark plugs, V belts, various nuts and bolts, etc.
  • Responsible for being aware of and complying with all Safety policies, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Utilize LOTO procedures when needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
