About The Position

This role is integral to the success of our company by supporting our Wendy’s Restaurant Operations in CT/MA. You will be responsible for providing a variety of maintenance related services to several restaurant locations. You will need to provide a high level of customer service and have the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required. Trade school or Associates degree preferred
  • Restaurant maintenance and QSR experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with business software and tablet technology, clean and valid driver’s license (will run Background Check and MVR), must have on-call flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Two or more years of related experience in general shop and/or building maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of strong basic trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair and basic HVAC/refrigeration
  • Knowledge of industry compliance and safety awareness
  • Ability to plan and schedule

  • Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License without work restrictions
  • 40 – 45 hours weekly
  • Physical Demands (lifting, climbing, standing, moving)
  • May be required to wear protective clothing, such as earplugs and work boots.
  • Continuous standing, walking, pushing, crawling, climbing, stooping, squatting, and repetitive arm motion requiring full shoulder/elbow/wrist/hand mobility.
  • Occasional to frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Hazardous equipment: Occasion to frequent work with hazardous equipment, such as electrical systems, air conditioning, and heating systems
  • Contaminants: May be exposed to contaminants, such as oils, solvents, and paints
  • Lighting: May work in bright or inadequate lighting
  • Temperature: Indoor/External work areas or sites may not be temperature controlled. Must be able to work while being exposed to dust and inclement weather, marked changes in temperature and/or humidity, radiation, fumes/vapors, sharp instruments/tools, hazardous liquids, and operating machinery.
  • Must have near vision, far vision, depth perception, and be able to distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair cooking and prep equipment (e.g. grill, fryer, Frosty machine).
  • Provide interior and exterior maintenance services including, but not limited to, electrical repair, plumbing repair, painting, carpentry, ceramic floor and tile repair, and acoustical ceiling repair.
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with internal customers, outside vendors, suppliers and service providers; order and return parts as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain a company service vehicle, must be able to maintain a vehicle log.
  • Must be willing to drive over 30,000 miles per year and be available on call as necessary.
  • Occasional computer and administrative work, must have ability to use business software.
