The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the preventive maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines, repairs, prolonging the useful life and optimize the efficiency of Facilities equipment. This position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager and is part of the Maintenance Department located in Brea, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Perform a full-range of maintenance activities on buildings, all building-related equipment, and production equipment. Working conditions can include Facilities Engineering shop environment, safety hazards including welding, grinding, electrical work, high-pressure equipment, chemicals, dirty/toxic work areas, and noise. Manage and maintain security systems and protocols to safeguard personnel, facilities, and assets, ensuring a safe and secure working environment. Oversee contractor management and sustainability programs to foster strong relationships with internal and external customers Support and coordinate site initiatives including events, quality programs, operational improvements, environmental health & safety (EHS), and sustainability efforts to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and organizational effectiveness

Requirements

  • Working within clearly defined standard operating procedures.
  • General skills and related to maintenance and facilities activities.
  • High school diploma or GED and several years of technical experience in preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as general repair across facilities systems
  • Demonstrating a strong mindset and a proactive approach toward environmental, health, and safety standards and practices
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift, move or carry items weighing 30-50 lbs occasionally and perform routine maintenance tasks using hand tools
  • Forklift and scissor lift certification, or willingness to complete

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant working knowledge of a regulated industry and GMP.
  • Building maintenance related training and/or certification
  • Experience with Building Management Software
