About the position

The Facilities Technician at Flour Bakery + Cafe is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant and bakery facilities. This role involves performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks across multiple locations, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. The technician will report directly to the Facilities Director and will need to manage both routine maintenance and urgent repair needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic facilities, equipment, and aesthetic repairs across multiple locations.
• Handle carpentry, painting, electrical work, and basic commercial plumbing tasks.
• Move small equipment and assist with larger repairs as needed.
• Plan with the management team for larger repair projects.
• Set up or break down seasonal outdoor furniture.
• Follow location punch lists in the bakeries.
• Troubleshoot and convey information regarding tasks accurately.

Requirements

• Valid MA Driver's License.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in trades such as Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Tile Work, Painting, and Basic Remodeling.
• Strong knowledge of faucets and drains.
• Ability to use digital work order software to prioritize tasks.
• Possess basic hand tools for general trades.
• Comfortable using basic power tools such as drills and saws.
• Ability to work on ladders up to 16 feet high.
• Good organizational skills and efficiency with tools and materials.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more with assistance.

Nice-to-haves

• Willingness to be trained in light refrigeration equipment repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
