Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) Preferred.
  • Licensed Delaware Master Electrician.
  • 8-10 years direct related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to outside vendors and/or co-workers, supervisors, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, metric measurement and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts and graphs.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient knowledge of all shop equipment and power tools.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in production environment situations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical problems found in industrial systems.
  • Systematically identifies, locates, and corrects problems using well-defined troubleshooting methodology and practices.
  • Repairs, designs and installs pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical/electronic systems and components on all types of production equipment.
  • Able to fabricate simple parts constructed of steel, stainless steel or plastics using basic machinist equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/electronic problems on production equipment using test equipment such as volt-ohm and amp meters and pc-based software.
  • Understand and troubleshoot PLC, variable frequency drives, and other logic-controlling systems.
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Focus on minimizing unplanned downtime in pursuit of lean manufacturing objectives.
