About The Position

Performs journey-level work on a multitude of plumbing and pipefitting systems for various commercial facilities, including but not limited to the maintenance, repair, remodeling, and installation of those systems. This includes repair and maintenance of restroom fixtures, flushometers, and drain line issues, as well as the maintenance, repair, and sanitizing of Aircraft Potable Water Systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
  • Experience with essential computer programs, including Excel, Office, Teams, and Word.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret building diagrams and technical procedures.
  • Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, fixtures (sinks, toilets, tubs, appliances), and related equipment using various techniques like soldering, welding, and clamping
  • A strong understanding of water supply, drainage, sewage, gas, and heating systems (including water heaters, boilers, and backflow prevention devices).
  • Expertise in using a wide range of hand and power tools safely, including pipe cutters, wrenches, augers, and diagnostic equipment like sewer cameras.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge for calculating measurements, pipe sizing, flow rates, and cost estimates.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing and safety codes.
  • Ability to effectively work independently or within a team environment.
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing.
  • Ability to pass TSA/Security Background check.
  • Current Driver License.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field
  • Licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber
  • Ability to pass TSA/Security Background check.
  • Industry certification (Plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Current Driver License.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs restroom facilities, plumbing fixtures, HVAC, water coolers, and system piping.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, emergency, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect, monitor, and maintain mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Clear drain clogs and resolve plumbing issues promptly.
  • Install and repair all restroom assets to include faucets, flush valves, toilets, dispensers, etc.
  • Keep maintenance facility and its equipment always clean and serviceable, report all deficiencies to management.
  • performs maintenance, repair, and replacement of pumps and controls for a variety of sewage lift and de-watering stations
  • Perform HVAC and electrical troubleshooting on various systems.
  • Installs and tests backflow prevention devices on potable water systems.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, which may include days, afternoons, graveyards, weekends, and holidays.
