The Facilities Technician/Maintenance Supervisor at Datavox, TX, plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and upkeep of all company facilities. This position is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, managing repair projects, and supervising a team of maintenance personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Ultimately, this position ensures that all physical assets and systems function optimally to support business operations without interruption.

  • Access and employ job related computer software (email, work planning, timekeeping) at an effective proficiency level.
  • Works independently with limited supervision
  • Collaborate with various levels of staff, vendors, and contractors to coordinate and oversee repairs and renovation projects
  • Manage and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including inspections, preventive measures, and emergency repairs, while implementing schedules and procedures to ensure optimal facility performance and minimal downtime.
  • Manage and mentor facility staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations in all maintenance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and coordinate appropriate resolution efforts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.
  • Oversee inventory and departmental budget to ensure accurate stock control and cost-effective operations
  • Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting DataVox’s high standards for maintenance of facilities.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facilities management, electrical, mechanical, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical role.
  • Proven experience supervising or leading a maintenance team.
  • Thorough knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage and high voltage electrical components
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to facility operations.
  • Certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM) or maintenance supervision.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience working in a commercial or industrial facility environment.
  • Basic project management skills and experience coordinating vendor contracts.
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices a plus.
  • Experience with inventory management, organizational skills, and an attention to detail
