About The Position

The Facilities Technician/Maintenance Supervisor at Datavox, TX, plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and upkeep of all company facilities. This position is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, managing repair projects, and supervising a team of maintenance personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Ultimately, this position ensures that all physical assets and systems function optimally to support business operations without interruption.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facilities management, electrical, mechanical, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical role.
Proven experience supervising or leading a maintenance team.
Thorough knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
Strong understanding of low-voltage and high voltage electrical components
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to facility operations.

Nice To Haves

Certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM) or maintenance supervision.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Experience working in a commercial or industrial facility environment.
Basic project management skills and experience coordinating vendor contracts.
Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices a plus.
Experience with inventory management, organizational skills, and an attention to detail

Responsibilities

Access and employ job related computer software (email, work planning, timekeeping) at an effective proficiency level.
Works independently with limited supervision
Collaborate with various levels of staff, vendors, and contractors to coordinate and oversee repairs and renovation projects
Manage and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including inspections, preventive measures, and emergency repairs, while implementing schedules and procedures to ensure optimal facility performance and minimal downtime.
Manage and mentor facility staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations in all maintenance operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and coordinate appropriate resolution efforts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.
Oversee inventory and departmental budget to ensure accurate stock control and cost-effective operations
Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships.
Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting DataVox’s high standards for maintenance of facilities.
Demonstrated time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
