About The Position

We are seeking a driven, responsible Facilities Technician Intern to join our growing organization. In this hands-on role, you will learn the day-to-day operations of facilities maintenance and support at The Chefs’ Warehouse, gaining exposure to building systems, equipment upkeep, and general facility operations. This will be a summer internship running from mid-May through August (dates to be confirmed).

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university, college, or technical program (or recently graduated)
• At least 18 years of age
• Interest in facilities maintenance, engineering, construction, or a related technical field
• Ability to work an onsite schedule 40 hours/week throughout the summer
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hands-on skills
• Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily facility maintenance tasks, including basic repairs, inspections, and upkeep
• Support preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and warehouse infrastructure
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Shadow and assist facilities technicians with hands-on projects
• Perform routine checks and document maintenance activities
• Respond to facilities-related requests and work orders
• Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures
• Attend team meetings and assist with special facilities projects as needed
