The Facilities Maintenance Technician I schedules and performs routine facility and manufacturing equipment / system related preventative maintenance and assists maintenance and facility technicians with repairs.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with different personnel throughout the workday.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic aptitude of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Temperature, and/or Vacuum Principles
Basic problem solving and critical thinking.
Ability to document and effectively communicate the work performed.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
May work from settings requiring ladders, lifts, or from the rooftop and other situations requiring exposure to heights.
Frequent bending/twisting required.
Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.

Responsibilities

Schedules, performs, and completes Preventive Maintenance on TSMD’s facility equipment and systems.
Works under general supervision.
Assists on-boarding activities of new technicians.
Supports technicians with equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
