About The Position

The Facilities Technician Generalist is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various equipment and hardware within the LEGOLAND Florida Resort. This role supports the Facilities Team Leader and Supervisor in ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall upkeep of the resort. The technician will engage in preventative maintenance, respond to emergency repairs, and assist in various rehabilitation projects, all while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in facilities maintenance and repair.
• Considerable knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems, lighting, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Ability to react calmly and rationally under pressure or in emergencies.
• Proficient in basic math skills and able to read and evaluate reports and correspondence.
• Demonstrated focus on guest service and ability to follow supervisor's directions effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with various hand tools and machinery used in maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnight, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install various equipment and hardware as directed by the Facilities Team Leader and/or Facilities Supervisor.
• Contribute to general repair and maintenance tasks and assist other skilled trades in preventative maintenance and rehabilitation projects.
• Accountable for all work assignments and schedules related to facilities maintenance.
• Propose new ideas and initiatives to the facilities leadership team.
• Ensure safety is the top priority and maintain cleanliness in work areas and equipment.
• Follow established maintenance programs including predictive, preventative, and emergency repairs.
• Attend training and seminars to stay updated on technical information and products.
• Respond to emergency calls for repairs and maintenance as directed.
• Liaison between maintenance employees and other departments.
