A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Facilities technician. Position Type: Full time Contract. Duration: 12 months. Location: Van Nuys, CA (Onsite). As a Facilities technician you will be responsible for maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of applicable standards or regulations, and specific trade certifications. Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration. Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians. Uses experience and technical skills with preventative maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements. Advise manager of preventative maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
