About The Position

The Missile Solutions Segment of L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician C (HVAC) to join our team in Orange, VA. Our site near Culpeper, VA—located in beautiful, rural Orange County, approximately 1.5 hours from Washington, DC—is growing rapidly. This location serves as our center of excellence for solid rocket motor propulsion, energetics development, and high‑complexity production programs.
The Facilities Technician (HVAC) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics, and locally generated instructions. Candidates must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Responsibilities include following work procedures, maintaining facilities and production equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior HVAC experience, or 2 years of post‑secondary/associate degree education and a minimum of 2 years of HVAC‑related experience.
• Familiar with OSHA and NEC standards.
• Follow work procedures.
• Maintain facilities and production equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Virginia HVAC Journeyman, Master, or Contractor License is a plus.
• Strong electrical experience and training in industrial equipment repair.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Word and Excel (with formula use).
• Strong safety and environmental awareness.

Responsibilities

• HVAC Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems such as HVAC units, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, and related equipment.
• Installation: Assist with installation of new equipment.
• 6S Support: General shop upkeep, cleaning, and organization aligned with 6S standards.
