About The Position

The Facilities Team Member at TOYOTETSU TEXAS, INC., plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Requirements

  • Technical training or certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education/training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of manufacturing equipment and workspaces to accommodate production needs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and tools, placing orders as necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues, addressing them promptly.
  • Collaborate with the production and safety teams to implement and uphold safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide support for facility improvement projects, including renovations and upgrades, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by effectively communicating with colleagues and management.
