About The Position

The role of Facilities Team Member supports the Facilities Director by taking a lead role in maintaining a clean, safe, and highly functional learning and work environment for staff and students in grades PreK-12. Daily responsibilities will vary with an emphasis on responding to daytime custodial & maintenance needs, overseeing lunch maintenance, trash and snow removal, and work orders as assigned. This individual will be trained on basic maintenance techniques, safe cleaning practices, proper waste management, and the operation of maintenance machines. The right candidate will have a heart to serve and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support a wide variety of school community events.

Requirements

  • Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith; possessing a strong Christian faith with knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills with colleagues, students, parents, and visitors
  • The ability to work independently and self-motivate is a must
  • Basic level of comfort utilizing computer applications and digital apps to manage calendar and work assignments
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and operate heavy machinery
  • A combination of education/experience equivalent to High School diploma and 4 years of increasingly responsible maintenance experience
  • Active Boiler Operator License or willingness to obtain within a year of hiring

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from technical school preferred
  • Mid-level professional trades experience desired
