Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • At least 1 year of prior dispatch experience required.
  • Must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with life safety systems and emergency response protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Request Management: Answer incoming calls related to maintenance and repair needs for on-site and off-site properties, logging details into the system.
  • Task Assignment: Allocate work orders to engineering personnel based on the information received from calls.
  • Life Safety System Response: Monitor fire alarm panels and other safety system alerts, identify the affected area, and promptly dispatch engineering teams to address the situation.
  • Personnel Coordination: Record all employee call-ins and direct them to the appropriate department or staff for follow-up.
  • Activity Tracking: Maintain a detailed dispatch log to track all actions and activities throughout the day for accountability and transparency.
  • Emergency Documentation: Accurately document time and activities during emergency events to ensure proper record-keeping and coordination.
