About The Position

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming is a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.JOB SUMMARYThe Facilities Supervisor will supervise, coordinate, and assist maintenance Team Members in maintaining, repairing, and cleaning buildings, systems, and grounds. The Facilities Supervisor must know and be able to complete tasks in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, energy conservation, and/or general building maintenance.

Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. Trade school training preferred.
Required 2 years of supervisory experience.
Required 5 years of experience as an electrician, plumber, HVAC mechanic, ground support, welder, machinist, or EVS position.
Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).
Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license

Responsibilities

Work with the Security Operations Manager and the Director of Facilities at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming, and Hotel to coordinate projects and schedule work.
Prepare weekly team member schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
Schedule and, when needed, personally perform preventive maintenance and repair duties on all building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools. Ensure work is completed on time.
Occasionally assign janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that established standards are met.
Occasionally schedule and when needed, personally perform Facilities cleaning, gaming floor, conference rooms, and floor cleaning and waxing. This includes all facilities on site.
Ensure all inventory, supplies, and equipment are maintained and properly stored.
Develop cost estimates for requested projects.
Schedule and follow up on all maintenance issues, whether with outside vendors or internal staff, using a computerized maintenance management program.
Responsible for compliance with applicable codes and inspection, and reporting of deficiencies throughout the property.
Effectively report and correct unsafe work practices or unsafe property conditions.
Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications and process changes to help improve safety and reliability.
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve facility issues.
Participate in interviews and hiring of new maintenance Team Members.
Complete timely performance evaluations for subordinates.
Coordinate formal and informal training for subordinates.
Conduct formal and informal coaching and counseling with subordinates.
Able to read and evaluate blueprints.
Prepare for and conduct pre-shift huddles.
Participate regularly in squads and management team huddles
Perform other related duties as assigned.
