At Kellanova, we’re looking for a Facilities Supervisor to lead the charge in maintaining our Kansas City bakery — one of our most advanced production facilities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the health and readiness of our plant’s essential equipment and infrastructure. You’ll guide a team of skilled maintenance professionals, oversee contracted building services, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with facility equipment such as boilers, HVAC systems, air compressors, chillers, and plumbing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead daily operations, prioritize tasks, and drive accountability across shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire – Take ownership of your shift by supervising, training, and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians. You’ll foster a culture of safety, inclusion, and collaboration, while driving performance and accountability. Your leadership will help build a team that’s proactive, skilled, and proud of the work they do.
  • Own Equipment Readiness – Be the expert responsible for keeping our bakery’s critical systems running at peak performance. You’ll oversee boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, TOX units, plumbing, and more. You’ll also ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including wastewater treatment, air permitting, and CFC management — keeping our operations safe, sustainable, and audit-ready.
  • Solve & Improve – Use your technical expertise and problem-solving mindset to tackle equipment issues head-on. You’ll lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and proactively plan maintenance activities using a master calendar. Your ability to anticipate problems and drive solutions will help minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Drive Results – Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste, cut costs, and improve reliability. You’ll apply LEAN manufacturing principles to streamline processes, enhance equipment performance, and contribute to the overall success of the bakery’s operations.
