About The Position

Children’s Hope Alliance main campus rests on 70 acres in Statesville, NC. The campus consists of over 10 buildings that include administrative, healthcare, foster care, and daycare services. You’ll work across a diverse physical environment-from century-old structures to modern state-of-the-art facilities. The Facilities team maintains our current facilities, modifies existing structures to meet new needs, and contributes to the construction of new buildings and infrastructure. The Facilities team conducts a broad range of duties to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained environments that support staff in delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities include coordinating and/or performing groundskeeping, skilled and finish carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, electrical, roof repair, basic masonry and concrete, and routine vehicle maintenance tasks. Our Facilities team is forward thinking and hands-on, proactively inspecting, diagnosing, servicing and troubleshooting all aspects of the physical campus to ensure safe, reliable and mission ready environments. The Facilities Supervisor is a working manager that coordinates the daily operations of the Facilities team. The position reports to the Director of Facilities and Asset Management and assists in project planning, managing key performance indicators (KPI), and monitoring budgets to help ensure facilities and fleet operations are effective, efficient, and aligned with established standards. This is a full-time position with excellent health and company benefits. Most work occurs during normal working hours Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in construction and/or building maintenance
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in leading construction projects and/or maintenance teams is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study is preferred.
  • License or certification in applicable trade(s) such as Construction Management Technology is desired.
  • Solid knowledge of aspects of the construction/remodeling life cycle.
  • Working knowledge of local building codes and jobsite safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology and digital tools effectively. CHA uses a variety of applications to track work tickets, manage its vehicle and equipment fleet, track time, and report status. Supervisor must be comfortable with utilizing the technology (after proper training).
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Maintenance/Carpentry Technicians
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Facilities department and ensure clear communication with team, vendors, and internal clients.
  • Leverage a suite of digital tools to manage workflow, monitor operational performance, and proactively identify and address performance gaps to support continuous improvement
  • Assist with budget planning and monitoring to ensure cost-effective resource utilization
  • Develop and manage on-call schedules/after-hours coverage, ensuring timely response to issues
  • Oversee and perform preventive maintenance inspections, maintenance and repair of facilities vehicles, equipment, and grounds and as needed coordinates with appropriately licensed professionals for advanced diagnostics, regulated repairs or work requiring certification
  • Maintain all equipment, facilities, grounds, and worksites in a clean, safe, and organized condition, including the Maintenance Shop.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet applicable code requirements and safety standards including but not limited to The Joint Commission.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, mechanical systems, equipment, and grounds according to defined programs to prevent, identify and resolve issues timely proactively mitigate decline or failure.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inventory, and equipment status.
  • Assist in planning and executing construction, renovation, and improvement projects across CHA.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and scope documents to guide work execution.
  • Lead the coordination of Facilities team, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Monitor project progress to meet scope, schedules, budgets, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Support project documentation, including estimates, material procurement, and status reporting.
  • Identify issues early, solve problems independently, and adapt plans to changing site conditions to maintain efficiency and support project success.
  • Contribute to facility design, capital planning, and long-term maintenance strategies by providing residential/commercial field expertise.
