About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor at CSX is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of transportation facilities within a designated territory. This role ensures that projects are completed safely and on time while adhering to budget constraints. The supervisor will manage both contract employees and outside contractors, providing technical assistance and implementing cost reduction strategies across various maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in construction, maintenance, electrical or mechanical engineering, plumbing, carpentry, or facilities maintenance.
  • 3 or more years of experience in relevant fields, or 5 or more years of experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects proficiently.
  • Knowledge of applicable Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Codes.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7 or more years of supervisory experience in construction or facilities maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ADA rules and codes.
  • Knowledge of Road Way Worker Rules.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the inspection, installation, and maintenance of over $500M in building assets including interior and exterior finishes, roofing systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Oversee the inspection, installation, and maintenance of over $500M in electrical assets, including high and low voltage infrastructure.
  • Manage the inspection, installation, and maintenance of over $500M in mechanical assets, including compressed air systems and mobile assets.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Capital and Operating Budgets to reduce overall operating expenses.
  • Interface with multiple departments regarding compliance, emergency plans, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with railroad rules and regulations, including those from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and OSHA.
  • Assist in the design of repairs to all assets within the area of responsibility.
  • Interpret and follow regulatory codes, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Act as the senior administrator of the Maximo system for Enterprise Asset Management.
  • Maintain and ensure the safe operation of all facilities vehicles and equipment.
