About The Position

The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all plumbing, irrigation and fertigation systems within the Egg Harbor cultivation and processing facility. This role ensures that these systems operate at peak efficiency to support plant health and environmental controls in compliance with state regulations and company policies. This role reports to the Facilities Manager. This role requires a strong understanding of Plumbing principles, compliance with safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues, as well as coordinating with contractors, when necessary. In addition to hands-on repair work, the supervisor maintains accurate records, follows scheduled maintenance plans and supports compliance efforts; all while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, teamwork and attention to detail. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in plumbing installation, maintenance and repairs in either a commercial and/or industrial setting - Required
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude; highly proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance procedures, techniques and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with machinery, equipment, hand tools and power tools used in building maintenance and repair.
  • Understanding of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to learn, navigate and accurately utilize computerized maintenance management and project management software
  • Knowledgeable about and highly experienced with plumbing systems and environmental controls
  • Minimally a Monday - Friday on site, work schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays (as necessary)

  • Completion of a plumbing apprentice program or relevant trade license(s) - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, replaces and repairs the facility's plumbing and fertigation systems in adherence with SOPs, safety protocols and with managerial oversight and approval.
  • Monitors, records and performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all plumbing, irrigation and fertigation equipment for efficient and sustainable functioning.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs plumbing issues such as potential leaks and any equipment malfunctions.
  • Submits all approved maintenance and repairs, per the company's Facilities' ticketing process.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Lead and encourage effective communication amongst the Facilities team fostering a positive work environment.
  • Partner with Managers and Human Resources for talent selection, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations concerns and talent development of Facilities technicians.
  • Complies with NJ regulations, building codes and safety standards for all plumbing maintenance and repairs.
  • Responds to potential emergency plumbing issues on a timely basis with effective and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborates with external suppliers on approved major, plumbing repairs, renovation and/or new construction projects (utilizing the company's monday.com project platform).
  • Provides support to other departments as well as facility cleaning and light maintenance.
  • Performs other assigned duties from the Facility Manager, Senior Production Manager and/or Vice President, Operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, equipment maintenance, cleaning and calibration.
  • Promptly report any system failures, malfunctions, or facility damage to the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with completing daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checklists.
