Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in commercial architecture, interior design, design trends and construction projects.
  • Understanding of computers, design technologies and related applications including the BIM end-user experience.
  • Evaluating stakeholder needs, utilization, growth forecasts, and employee requirements.
  • Development of Facility Standards Documentation.
  • Space planning techniques.
  • Reading and interpreting design and construction documents.
  • Creating tailored Executive-level presentation materials (Power Point decks, reports) and presenting to upper-level management.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in commercial architecture, interior design, and space planning.
  • Aviation design experience is a bonus.
  • Proficiency with design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SketchUp.
  • Experience with BIM and interpreting design/construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop research and analysis of design standards, planning standards and trends to support teams and leadership with strategic decision-making and future facility development.
  • Assist in analyzing space utilization and preparing strategic recommendations for departmental space programs, moves/restacks, Master Plans and other Facilities projects.
  • Support Corporate Facilities projects by participating in stakeholder meetings, reviewing drawings, conducting space planning studies, providing master planning input, and selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in alignment with Company business and sustainability objectives.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Southwest Facility design and planning standards, ensuring alignment with the Company's mission, values, and sustainability objectives.
  • Participate in project meetings, quality assurance reviews, and coordination with vendors and internal teams, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Leadership, internal Customers, and external vendors.
  • Prepare materials and contribute to presentations for internal customers, key stakeholders and Senior Leadership.
  • Support internal teams to develop, customize, and maintain facility master files, Standards libraries, Revit family creation, best practices, and updates to the Company space management system.
  • Develop and manage document control workflows and support the organization of Standards document repository, including content development, content deployment, and communications.
  • Develop strategic process improvements to projects, project workflows and steer implementation.
  • Drive internal and cross-departmental initiatives in support of Corporate Facilities planning strategies and continuous process improvement.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
