About The Position

Tradewind Aviation is seeking a proactive, Northeast Facilities Specialist to oversee the operational readiness, maintenance, and vendor management for multiple company locations, including the OXC Hangar, Headquarters, POU Hangars, and other Northeast bases. This role requires a highly organized professional with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, and a commitment to maintaining safe, efficient, and well-functioning facilities that support Tradewind’s aviation operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in facilities coordination, building operations, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, organize workload, and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Northeast facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of aviation facilities or hangar operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations across all Northeast locations.
  • Ensure all buildings, hangars, and grounds are maintained to Tradewind operational standards and withing all local, state and federal codes.
  • Manage facility upkeep, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire suppression systems, security, cleaning and general infrastructure.
  • Conduct routine walkthroughs and inspections to identify issues proactively.
  • Coordinate facility improvements, repairs, and capital projects.
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts with external service providers and vendors.
  • Hold vendors accountable for delivering services according to scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Ensure all service agreements meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Track vendor performance and resolve issues swiftly.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure facilities support operational reliability and efficiency.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance needs and coordinate timely solutions.
  • Manage facility-related inventories, supplies, and equipment.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Independently plan, execute, and track multiple projects across geographically dispersed sites.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and meet timelines without close supervision.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping of contracts, service logs, inspections, and budgets.
