About The Position

As a Facilities Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for making sure our First Residential office is running smoothly and feeling like home. From keeping an eye on building systems like HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, and electrical to handling general maintenance needs like painting and roofing, you’ll help keep everything in top shape. You’ll deliver results with a strong focus on great service, quick follow-up, and making sure folks feel taken care of.

  • You have a valid driver’s license and a solid driving record, plus you're open to some travel when needed (around 10-15% of the time).

Responsibilities

  • Keeping First Residential spaces in great shape by handling day-to-day maintenance and cleaning needs.
  • Taking care of routine maintenance and repairs across building systems.
  • Diagnosing and inspecting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Managing HVAC systems to keep them running smoothly.
  • Staying ahead of problems by putting preventive maintenance plans in place.
  • Knowing the rules, staying up to date with all local and federal safety regulations.
  • Aligning with all applicable codes, regulations, and governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Being ready to jump in during emergencies like power outages or leaks.
  • Keeping maintenance logs and work orders up to date.
  • Helping others grow by sharing expertise and coaching team members.
  • Supporting our energy-saving goals by developing an energy management plan and helping systems run as efficiently as possible.
  • Coordinating and assisting space planning, office renovations, and moves—you’re part of making our spaces work better.
  • Teaming up with the general contractor, building supervisor or skilled trade professionals to sort out any maintenance concerns quickly.
  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.
