About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and responsible individual to join our team as a Facilities Specialist in Gainesville, FL at our 13th Street location. This position is responsible for assisting with activities related to the overall cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of the company's facility and grounds.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
• General knowledge of building cleaning and maintenance
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance and upkeep
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year of experience at a LifeSouth facility or two years of facilities experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean offices, buildings, annexes, break rooms, bathrooms and hallway areas as needed, including dusting, glass cleaning, window cleaning, stain removal, floor care, etc.
• Inspect all assigned areas daily and report any additional issues
• Assist with basic grounds maintenance as needed
• Assist with periodic checks of facility ventilation and security systems as recommended by manufacturer guidelines to ensure proper functionality
