About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Facilities Smart Manufacturing & Automation to lead the digital transformation of our facilities and sub-fabrication operations. This senior leadership role is critical in driving advanced automation, data integration, and AI-enabled controls across multiple domains—including facilities infrastructure, environmental health and safety (EHS), construction, and physical site security. The successful candidate will own the development and execution of automation strategies that enhance operational reliability, reduce costs, improve compliance, and ensure safety in a complex manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Controls, or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities automation, industrial automation, or manufacturing operations leadership
  • Proven track record driving digital transformation in complex, regulated industrial environments (preferably semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing)
  • Deep knowledge of BMS, SCADA, predictive maintenance, AI anomaly detection, IoT sensor networks, and digital twins.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams including facilities engineers, controls engineers, EHS specialists, construction managers, and security professionals.
  • Strong understanding of EHS regulatory compliance, construction automation, and physical security automation best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to optimize energy, water, and gas use with smart automation and predictive maintenance.
  • Deploy robotics to automate manual inspections, maintenance activities, and material movement, improving efficiency and safety.
  • Integrate BMS/SCADA systems into unified platforms to eliminate data silos and enable real-time monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize asset life and utility uptime using digital twins and IoT sensors.
  • Automate safety workflows, training tracking, and chemical inventory to improve compliance and reduce risks.
  • Streamline regulatory reporting, MOC workflows, and evidence management to reduce risk and improve audit readiness.
  • Implement prefabrication, BIM, drones, AR/VR, and robotics to streamline construction projects and improve quality.
  • Develop unified physical security automation integrating access control, video analytics, and IoT for faster incident response.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, EHS, construction, and security specialists.
