About The Position

The Facilities Services Lead oversees the janitorial team to ensure the building is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. This role combines hands-on cleaning duties with leadership responsibilities, including scheduling, training, and quality control.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of janitorial experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and safely handle chemicals.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Prolonged standing, walking, bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the janitorial team.
Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure standards are met.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces when needed.
Inspect work areas regularly for cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
Train new team members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
Handle escalated maintenance issues and communicate with the Facilities Manager.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
Assist with special projects and seasonal cleaning tasks.
