About The Position

The Facilities Services Lead oversees the janitorial team to ensure the building is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. This role combines hands-on cleaning duties with leadership responsibilities, including scheduling, training, and quality control.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of janitorial experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and safely handle chemicals.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the janitorial team.
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure standards are met.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces when needed.
  • Inspect work areas regularly for cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Train new team members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Handle escalated maintenance issues and communicate with the Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
  • Assist with special projects and seasonal cleaning tasks.
