About The Position

The Facilities Serviceman - Limited Assignment position at Grant County PUD is an entry-level role focused on assisting in the construction, maintenance, and operation of district facilities. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Valid Washington State driver's license.
• First aid card including CPR Training equivalent to the State of Washington requirements for Industrial First Aid.
• Ability to obtain WSDA Public Operator Pesticide License in the Rights-of-Way Weed Category before moving to Step 3.
• Four years of established experience in various trades or one or more years in Facilities Serviceman steps 1 and 2.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate of training to conduct ergonomic evaluations.
• Certificate of training enabling individual to maintain fire extinguishers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction, maintenance, and operation of District facilities.
• Work independently and exercise sound judgment in task completion.
• Support and implement District decisions positively.
• Promote teamwork and a safe work environment.
• Perform basic labor with mechanical aptitude and assist in service-type work.
• Make minor repairs and improvements in various construction/maintenance trades.
• Conduct general janitorial and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Read facility drawings and specifications as required.
• Guide and direct student helpers as instructed.
