About The Position

The role of Facilities Service Technician will be a critical part of the Vermont Maintenance Department, reporting to the Design and Planning Manager. In this role you will be responsible for helping to maintain 100+ gasoline locations along with a team of technicians. This is a field-based position, where you are in the field 5 days a week, working with station dealers and managers on a regular basis. You will be responsible for maintaining site building repairs, HVAC preventative Maintenance and other tasks as needed. We will provide a company- issued work truck for this role. Requirements

  • You manage and take ownership of your work with limited supervision
  • You consistently meet deadlines and are results-oriented
  • Willing to learn and become certified on different POS systems and components
  • Occasional light handy man work as needed may be requested
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Windows, IT capability is a plus
  • Experience in Service Channel is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the petroleum industry a plus
  • Preferred knowledge of Fuel Dispensers and Point of Sale systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in the field.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
  • Travel to various job sites across Vermont & New Hampshire as needed
  • Daily travel with occasional overnights
