About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Service Technician to join our team and support the operation of a Class A commercial building as well as various field offices supporting oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining building systems, landscape, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing prompt response to maintenance needs to keep the facility operating at peak performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a Class A commercial building, field office and/or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety).
  • Familiar with Field Service Management (FSM) dispatch software.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and MEP drawings, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders, man lifts or in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to travel (by automobile) to various field offices and other buildings in EOG San Antonio operations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the oil industry or industrial environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, septic and mechanical systems at main campus and numerous locations within and surrounding Eagle Ford Shale, which requires routine travel. (Separated by 200 miles from one end to the other)
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of facility equipment, identifying issues and implementing repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve building-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies. This always includes PPE attire.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections through our internal database.
  • Support emergency preparedness protocols, including participation in drills and responding to actual emergencies.
  • Monitor and manage building automation systems (BAS) for optimal energy use and comfort.
  • Assist with minor construction, furniture assembly, and space reconfigurations as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in mechanical rooms, workspaces, and common areas.
