About The Position

Join Our Night Watch As the Facilities Security Patrol Specialist on our 3rd shift, you are the watchful presence that keeps people, property, and operations safe while most of the world sleeps. You’ll move confidently through the facility, keep a trained eye on surveillance systems, and act swiftly and professionally when something needs attention. Independent, dependable, and observant—this is a role built for someone who takes pride in vigilance. A Night in the Role You begin by verifying that access points are secure. Your interior and exterior rounds deter theft, vandalism, and any unauthorized activity. Between patrols, you monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems. An alert triggers—you respond calmly, assess the situation, coordinate with supervisors or emergency responders if needed, and document every detail for your daily report. Throughout the shift, you support authorized employees and contractors, flag safety hazards or maintenance issues, and keep a consistently professional, alert presence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Availability for overnight hours, with weekend and holiday assignments as needed.
  • Sharp observational skills and clear, confident communication.
  • Ability to stay focused and vigilant for the duration of extended overnight shifts.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for long periods and follow site-specific post orders independently.
  • Comfort conducting repeated foot patrols across the facility.
  • Composure and sound judgment in emergency situations.
  • Compliance This position may require background checks and drug screening in accordance with company policy

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine interior and exterior patrols to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
  • Control and verify access; ensure doors, gates, and restricted areas remain secured.
  • Apply and enforce company security policies and post procedures during overnight operations.
  • Operate and monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and related security technology.
  • Respond rapidly to alarms, safety concerns, and incidents; escalate appropriately.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations in detailed shift reports.
  • Identify and report hazards, maintenance needs, and suspicious behavior to management.
  • Assist authorized personnel and coordinate effectively with contractors and emergency responders.
  • Maintain a professional, alert demeanor from start to finish.
