About The Position

Metrea is a defense company dedicated to translating commercial innovation into solutions for the hardest problems in national security. Metrea also consists of six support groups (Operations, People, Finance, Legal, Strategy and Solutions) that guide the development of specific capabilities that Metrea's files (product, projects, programs etc) leverage to achieve their targets. Capability Unit Metrea Advanced Signals (MAS) specializes in signal classification, direction finding, advanced geolocation techniques, and waveform development including waveforms for MANET and LPI/LPD applications. MAS also develops special purpose radios for government customers and licenses DF and geolocation solutions to multiple OEMs. Position Summary Metrea Advanced Signals is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) who is responsible for establishment, oversight, management and direction of Industrial Security. This individual is ultimately responsible for compliance in accordance with the NISPOM. The FSO will have oversight of the security program of Metrea Advanced Signals and one additional business unit.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor degree preferred
  • Experience: 2-3 years as a Facility Security Officer or equivalent
  • Certificates and Licenses:
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
  • CDSE FSO Curriculum
  • Employee must be a US citizen.
  • Employee must have an active and in good standing Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and accurately process personnel security clearances
  • Conduct Initial & Annual Refresher trainings
  • Account manager in NISS, DISS, SWFT, etc
  • Advise management of security violations and security requirements to remain in compliance with the NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117
  • Conduct annual Self-Inspections and administer security vulnerability assessments (SVAs)
  • Perform as a COMSEC custodian
  • Create, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with our government contracts
  • Initiate, review, and monitor clearance investigations
  • Maintain FSO certifications and access to government portals
  • Review contract DD 254s for accuracy and maintain as required
  • Maintain and store security files
  • Manage access control systems and Alarm Systems
  • Perform as a Media Custodian
  • Ensure emergency equipment is inspected annually and functional
  • Communicate with the Facility Property Manager to ensure building utilities are functional
