About The Position

This Job Description outlines the basic requirements, duties, and general responsibilities of the position of Facilities Seasonal Maintenance. Unless modified by a written Employment Agreement, this position is “at-will,” which means the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District (“District”) may terminate the employment relationship at any time and for no reason, subject only to the requirements of federal and state law. Similarly, the employee may terminate the employment relationship without notice at any time for no reason. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Seasonal Maintenance is responsible for assisting with all different types of maintenance activities within the Facilities, including pool care, Tennis care, and minor facilities maintenance.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a 40 hour per week schedule that could include some evenings, early mornings and weekends as conditions or programming schedules might dictate
  • Ability to work seasonal hours from late spring to late fall.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform the job.
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and be able to adapt to changing daily schedules based on timelines and equipment/vehicle repair needs.
  • Working in a variety of locations and sometimes in challenging weather conditions.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License and be insurable by the District’s insurance carrier by maintaining an acceptable driving record.
  • Able to start early in the Morning.
  • This position requires work in a variety of locations and conditions, including but not limited to the Parks Department Maintenance Facility, other Recreational facilities, and outside areas within the District’s park system.
  • Moderate physical activity will be required frequently.
  • Work will be required outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work may be required under hazardous and adverse conditions, including, but not limited to, slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Use of sensory activities, such as talking, seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling (identifying objects by touch), depth perception and color vision will be required frequently.
  • Have ability to lift, move and carry objects in excess of fifty (50) pounds frequently.
  • Have ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, squat, push, pull, crawl, jump, slide, climb, pinch, grip, reach overhead, reach away from body, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all areas of Facilities maintenance (i.e., Brushing pools, Power washing, Sweeping, Painting, Trash pick-up, minor building projects, Tennis.)
  • Consistently promote a positive, professional image of the District and provide excellent customer service at all times.
