About The Position

This full-time (40-hour per week) internship experience will introduce you to the exciting career opportunities in the water and wastewater field. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities & Safety Intern to join our team. Requirements

  • Facilities Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Architecture, Project Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, Sustainability, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of completed coursework

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily facilities operations, including maintenance requests, vendor coordination, and office space management
  • Support safety programs by helping with inspections, audits, and compliance documentation
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities and update safety signage and materials
  • Monitor building systems (HVAC, lighting, security) and report issues promptly
  • Help maintain records for safety training, incident reports, and regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency projects
  • Provide administrative support for facilities and safety-related projects
  • Utilize Facilities space planning software and work order ticketing system to coordinate, track and fulfill facilities related requests
