About The Position

McKesson is a Fortune 10 company in the healthcare sector. This role is for an entry-level Facility/Maintenance/Service Technician at their temperature-controlled Distribution Center in Olive Branch, MS. The position requires an individual with repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform complex technical tasks. The candidate should be able to communicate professionally with various groups, from upper management to front-line employees, and possess an aptitude to learn quickly on conveyance systems. This position offers a broad range of generalist tasks, including building maintenance, internal and external repairs, and overseeing and assisting with service and repairs of conveyor systems and other Distribution equipment.

Requirements

  • Facility, maintenance or service technician experience
  • Troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment
  • Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to warehouse work environments
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to various trades (mechanical, electrical, millwright, HVAC, etc)
  • Knowledge of lock out/tag out and OHSHA
  • Work order experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment
  • May work at heights and in cold areas at times

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating Power Equipment would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex technical tasks
  • Communicate professionally with a wide range of groups from upper management to front line employees
  • Learn quickly on conveyance systems
  • Perform building maintenance
  • Take care of repairs of internal/external areas
  • Oversee and assist with service and repairs of conveyor systems and other Distribution equipment
  • Assist with minor tasks such as picking up garbage on the floor to assisting to repair DC equipment
