About The Position

Electric Boat is experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, with existing facilities undergoing renovations and new buildings under construction with more to come. Now is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team responsible for shaping the future of the facility. The Quonset Point Facilities Engineering department is seeking program rep to provide janitorial, cleaning, and pest control maintenance support for the 75+ year old Quonset Point facility and local sites. Responsibilities for this position include vendor oversight for trouble calls and routine janitorial tasks, along with developing scopes of work, vendor selection, preparing purchase requisitions, and in field management of vendors. Candidate should be familiar with the routine maintenance planning, scheduling, inspection, and oversight in an industrial or commercial setting. Candidate will interface with various levels of Electric Boat personnel and Navy staff. Candidate must be self-motivating, be able to work independently, possess good written and oral communications skills, maintain a questioning attitude, as well as be proficient technically with a willingness to continuously learn. Candidate must maintain the highest Safety standards and be available to work overtime including emergent situations, extended hours and weekends, and during severe weather events when required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years or more of experience overseeing janitorial and cleaning employees and/or vendors.

• Strong organizational & attention to detail skills
• Strong Safety performance track record

Nice To Haves

• Janitor experience
• 2+ years of experience in an industrial plant and/or facilities maintenance
