Facilities & Projects Engineer
About The Position

We are seeking a Facilities & Projects Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of our refinery facilities and infrastructure. This engineering role is focused on facility infrastructure, utilities, and project execution, including maintenance-driven and capital improvement initiatives. The position partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS while coordinating external vendors to deliver projects that enhance safety, performance, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced industrial environment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience supporting industrial facilities, utilities, or infrastructure systems required
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proven experience supporting or leading projects in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience working with contractors and managing vendor relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel; CMMS experience a plus
- Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must meet ITAR and NAID eligibility requirements
- Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment drug testing
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for facility infrastructure, utilities, and building systems
- Lead and support maintenance-driven and capital improvement projects from design through execution
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, and project documentation
- Coordinate and manage external contractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely execution
- Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and EHS to resolve facility and infrastructure-related issues
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and systems-related challenges impacting operations
- Support and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance to ensure successful delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and engineering records
- Identify and implement opportunities for reliability, efficiency, and safety improvements
