About The Position
The Facilities Planning Management team at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Facilities Project Manager III to provide project management services for moderate to large size capital projects for renovation or new construction of campus facilities. In this role you will: lead the project team and coordinate all project activities for assigned capital projects with a primary responsibility for the management and coordination of design phase activities administering professional services agreements between owner and consultants. serve as the primary contact for the university client and design professionals (architects, engineers, cost consultants, and other specialized consultants). coordinate and monitor the work of design professionals to assure compliance with the building program (requirements for the project), user requirements, university requirements, and standards for high quality architectural and engineering design. develop project budget and manages project funds throughout the life of the project assure that all required project approvals are obtained as appropriate collaborate with the ISU construction manager on assigned projects. The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, and be detail oriented. A candidate will have the ability to lead multi-faceted project teams with conflicting interests, needs, or requirements and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
